Judith A. (Pace) Duffy

STERLING - Judith A. (Pace) Duffy, 75, a longtime resident of Sterling, passed away peacefully at the Sunrise of Leominster on Thursday, September 25, 2014.
Her husband of 40 years, Thomas F. Duffy predeceased her in 2005 and her daughter, Karen A. Casey, predeceased her in 2011. She is survived by her son-in-law, Dr. Neil P. Casey and three grandchildren, Connor A., Dylan T. and Shannon K. Casey all of Sterling.
Judith was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of Anthony and Katherine (Notoro) Pace, and lived over 40 years in Sterling. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, attended Barry College in Florida and graduated from Worcester State Teachers College. She taught at the Major Edwards Elementary School in West Boylston and later taught and was Vice Principal at St. Bernard's Elementary School in Fitchburg.
She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church and an active volunteer who was Director of their Religious Education Program. She enjoyed traveling and spending time watching her grandchildren play soccer and little league baseball.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 29 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, before leaving in procession to St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62) , Sterling. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Richard of Chichester Church, P.O. Box 657, Sterling, MA 01564.
