Judith A. "Judy" Wisner

HOLDEN - Judith A. “Judy” (Wisniewski) Wisner, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, October 2, 2026, at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance – Leominster Campus.

Born and raised in Holden, Judy was the daughter of the late John M. and Helena R. (Fornier) Wisniewski. She attended Holden Public Schools and was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School. Following graduation, Judy began her career at Iandoli’s Market in Holden, where she worked as a deli clerk for many years. She continued to work as a deli clerk at Shaw’s Supermarket, where she later transitioned to the seafood department.

Judy was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life and treasured the time she spent with family and friends. She enjoyed CRA Bingo, where she also volunteered her time. Judy had a special talent for cake decorating, which she turned into a small business, creating beautiful wedding cakes for many couples over the years. She enjoyed several memorable trips to Hawaii with her sister Stephanie and, during her retirement, looked forward to visits to Florida.

Judy leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Joyce H. Avedisian, John M. Avedisian, Raymond J. Wisniewski, and Matthew J. Wisniewski and his wife, Helen. She also leaves many cousins, including Ann Berthiaume, Joanne Tucker, Joyce Trychon, Lillian Lindburg, Susan Weeks, and Jacqueline Kelly, with whom she shared many cherished childhood memories.

In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Lou “Patricia” Rodriguez, Stefanie Wisniewski, and Linda Avedisian, who was her closest companion, as well as her brother, John M. Wisniewski.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Judy’s family during a period of Calling Hours on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Gathering Room at Saint Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s name to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606.
