Hubbardston – Kevin P. Kinnear, 59, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was born in Worcester, the son of Harold “Fuzz” and Carolyn (Richard) Kinnear and grew up in Northborough.
Kevin graduated from Algonquin Regional High School with the class of 1981 and went on to work as a Lineman for Mass Electric Co. and later National Grid for over 40 years. In 1993 Kevin married his love and best friend Katie. Together they settled in Hubbardston, where they shared a life and 5 children over the course of the next 30 years. When Kevin wasn’t at work or taking care of tasks around the house, he loved fishing with his sons and hiking with his beloved bullmastiff, Gabe. Kevin was always extremely thankful for his job, he loved the men he worked with and was thankful it gave him the ability to support his family. He also truly believed in the work he was doing. Restoring power to people in need brought him happiness and pride. Kevin was the constant in the lives of those who loved him, and was known to be incredibly kind and selfless. He was a friend to all, a dad to his children Zack, Emma, Jack, Anna Kate, and Katrina, and “Pop” to his two grandchildren Shea and Lainee. Kevin loved one woman, and his joy in life was to provide for her and the family they shared.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Katie (Smith) Kinnear; his children, Zack Kinnear and his wife, Tori of Hubert, NC, Emma Kinnear of Gardner, Jack Kinnear of Destin, FL, Anna Kate Kinnear of Gardner and Katrina Kinnear of Hubbardston; his sisters, Karen Randell and her husband, Paul of Celina, TX and Kathleen Quinty and her husband, Scott of Rutland; his grandchildren, Shea and Lainee; as well as several nieces and nephews.
