STERLING - Kevin P. Kristoff, 62, of Sterling passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 21, 2012 after a long illness. He leaves his loving wife, Candelora (Recupero) Kristoff; his daughter, Amanda and her husband, Adam Weissman; a sister, Deborah Dupuis of Sterling; three nephews, David, Dennis and Darrel Dupuis and his wife Lindsay; a niece, Diana Dupuis; grandnephews and a grandniece, Joseph and Ashley, Alexander and Cole; and many cousins.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Lillian (Miller) Kristoff, and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Andover Institute of Business. He co-owned and operated his own rubbish removal company and was a self employed stock investor.
Kevin enjoyed travelling the world with his wife and daughter, playing golf and tennis with his many friends, and was a dedicated New England sports fan. His family and friends will always remember his dry sense of humor and sarcasm. He was a proud and devoted husband and father. Kevin will be missed forever.
During his battle with myelofibrosis, Kevin was cared for at the UMass Memorial Healthcare - University Campus. The family will always remember and be grateful for the care and dedication the nurses and medical team at the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Ambulatory Care Center gave to Kevin throughout his illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, at the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, followed by a procession to St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Legg Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sterling Animal Shelter, checks payable to “Animal Shelter, Inc.”, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
