Leonard Zack

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Leonard Zack, age 89, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, and friend.

Leonard was a man of unwavering strength, determination, and conviction. Once he made a decision, there was no changing his mind. He believed in doing things his way and lived his life with confidence, purpose, and independence. Those who knew him understood that his strong personality was matched by his deep devotion to the people he loved.

For 41 years, Leonard shared a loving marriage with his beloved wife, Sharon. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. Through every season of life, they stood by one another with unwavering commitment.

Boating was Leonard’s greatest passion. He loved being on the water, where he found peace, freedom, and happiness. Whether enjoying a day cruising or simply taking in the beauty around him, those moments reflected the life he loved most. Rarely were Leonard and Sharon alone on their adventures—Sasha, their beloved dog of more than 19 years, was almost always by their side. She accompanied them on vacations, countless days on the boat, and became a treasured part of the memories they created together.

Leonard is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Friedlend; his children, Richard (Gwen), Robert (Alyson), and David (Michelle); his stepchildren, Susan Kravitz (Bob) and Sylvan Schwartz III (Rachel); his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Hannah, Samantha, and Rachel; and his step-grandchildren, Philip, Joseph and Sam Kravitz, Clair and Lucy Schwartz.

Leonard will be remembered for his strength of character, his determination, his loyalty to those he loved, and the lasting impression he left on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed every day.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 17th, at Congregation Beth Israel, 15 Jamesbury Dr., Worcester. Burial will follow at Holy Society Cemetery, Havana Rd., Worcester.
