Linda K. (Routt) Ridlon

Holden – Linda K. (Routt) Ridlon, 76, died peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at UMass Memorial HealthAlliance-Hospital, Leominster Campus. She was born in Springfield, OH the beloved daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Hinton) Routt and was raised in Chelmsford.

Linda graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1967. She went to work for Mitre Corp. for several years and married the love of her life, David Ridlon in 1971. The couple lived in Townsend, Sterling, and Bedford, NH before settling in Holden. Linda devoted herself full time to being a mother and homemaker for several years. Later, she returned to the workforce as an administrative assistant at Mountview Middle School in Holden, where her kindness and steady presence were deeply appreciated.

Faith was the cornerstone of Linda’s life. A devout Catholic, she worshipped faithfully at St. George Church in Worcester and St. Ann Church in North Oxford. Her spirituality guided her daily life and inspired her service to others, including her meaningful work as a hospice volunteer.

Linda found joy in creativity and craftsmanship. She was especially talented in quilting, counted cross-stitch, and floral arranging—gifts she shared generously with family and friends. Her handmade creations will remain treasured keepsakes and lasting symbols of her love.

Linda will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband, David Ridlon; her son, Brian Ridlon and his wife, Jill Goodwin of Rochdale; her daughter, Carolyn Ridlon of Holden; and her sister, Patricia Forest of Chelmsford. She was predeceased by her sister, Deborah Delisle.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
