Biography
HOLDEN – Lois A. (Aldridge) Boyd, 89, of Holden died on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the St. Mary’s Healthcare Center, Worcester. Born in Syracuse, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Frieda (Dalton) Aldridge.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John “Jack” M. Boyd; her son, John and daughter-in-law, Brita, and grandchildren, Chloe and Sophie, all of Chapel Hill, NJ; and a sister, Kathleen Black of North Carolina. She was a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace and worked as a registered nurse in all areas of nursing. Later she volunteered as an aid to disabled students. Before her illness, she was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Holden.
Funeral services for Lois will be private and under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
