RUTLAND/FRAMINGHAM – Lois Jane (Miles) LeVasseur, 85, of Maple Avenue, died in her home under the loving care of her family on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Lois was born in Washington D.C., the daughter of Leon A. and Evelyn (McDermott) Miles and lived in Framingham for many years before moving to Rutland seven years ago.
She leaves her daughter, Marla Raye LeVasseur of Rutland; a grandson, Kurt Niermeyer and his wife Kelly of Holden; and two great- grandchildren, Brett and Jake Niermeyer. Lois was predeceased by her son Kevin Miles LeVasseur in 2004. Lois worked as a wrapper and packer for Continental Bakery in Natick for 22 years and was a proud member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union and Industry International. She was deeply devoted to her family and worked very hard to provide for them. Lois loved getting up early on weekend mornings to look for yard sales and enjoy other outdoor activities. Her spirit will be dearly missed by her loved ones. The LeVasseur family would like to extend their thanks to VNA Care Network & Hospice for their excellent care of Lois.
A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
