Louise E. (Petterson) Larrabee

January 16, 1926 — November 1, 2012

WEST BOYLSTON – Louise E. (Petterson) Larrabee, 86, of Shrewsbury Street, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in the Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Holden. Her husband of 49 years, Bill Larrabee, died in 1996. Born in Holden, she was the daughter of Iver and Lillian (Wagner) Petterson, and lived in West Boylston most of her life.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston. She was past president of the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post 204 Ladies Auxiliary in West Boylston where she was a member for over 60 years and proudly marched in every Memorial Day parade. Louise worked up until age 78, most recently at West Boylston Cinemas.

Louise is survived by two sons, James P. Larrabee and his wife Susan of Phillipston and William “Skitch” Larrabee and his wife Melanie of West Boylston; three daughters, Lynn L. Davenport and her husband George of Lyman, Maine, Jean L. Beaulac of West Boylston and Joy E. Larrabee of Barre; a brother, Robert Petterson of Andover; two sisters, Constance Fitch of Ayer and Audrey Howard of Kingston; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 5, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, in the First Congregational Church of West Boylston, 26 Central Street. A committal service will be held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston, at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to West Boylston Council on Aging, 127 Hartwell Street, West Boylston, MA 01583; or to the Harold N. Keith American Legion Post 204 Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 204, West Boylston, MA 01583.
