BATON ROUGE, VA / WEST BOYLSTON - Lynelle (Tynes) Cournoyer, 89, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and formerly of Oakdale died February 2, 2010 in Covington, Louisiana after a long illness.
She worked for the Ray-O-Vac Company in Clinton from 1958 until 1977 and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1979.
She was the widow of Raphael A. Cournoyer and is survived by two sons, Richard A. Cournoyer of Harrington, Delaware, and Philip J. Cournoyer of Tennessee; two daughters, Catherine L. St. Martin of Lowell and Teresa A. wife of John P. White of Seal Beach, California; a sister Winifred T. Dunn of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Lynelle was born in 1920, in Kentwood, Louisiana the daughter of Edwin Farrah Tynes and Mattie (Brabham) Tynes, attended Southeastern Louisiana University. She moved to Holden following her marriage and then to Oakdale in 1944.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
