RUTLAND - Margaret E. Morin, 89, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026.
Margaret was born in Campton, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Powell) Zogopoulos. She graduated from Manchester high school and worked as a CNA for many years.
Margaret, a devout Catholic, actively participated in her parish community, singing in the choir, joining prayer groups, and serving as a lector at Mass. An avid reader for much of her life, Margaret later turned to audiobooks when declining eyesight made reading difficult. She also took great pleasure in listening to her favorite music of Elvis Presley. Nana, as she was affectionately called, found the greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Margaret leaves behind her four children, Linda Shaughnessy and her husband Thomas of Holden, Joyce Morin of Oxford, Diane Summers and her husband Joseph of Rutland, and Michael Morin and his wife Patricia of Holden; her grandchildren, Rose, Christina, Alex, Mathew, Paige and Hailey; and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Steve Zogopoulos, Christina Chenard, and Mabel "Mel" Shumenen.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 18th from 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main Street in Rutland. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are encouraged to be made to National Federation of the Blind, Attn: Outreach, 200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21230 or https://nfb.org/contribute/giveTo share a memory or leave a condolence please visit www.milesfuneralhome.com
