WEST BOYLSTON - Marguerite “Peg” M. (Cameron) Dionne, 89, of the Lutheran Home, Worcester, died Saturday, March 4, 2006 in UMass Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Her husband of 35 years, Emile A. Dionne, died in 1976. She leaves her son, Leon Dionne of Leicester; two daughters, Suzette Ruby of Sutton and Anne Thompson of Clearwater, Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, P. Joseph Cameron of Arizona, predeceased her.
Peg was born in Marlboro and lived most of her life in West Boylston. She was the children’s librarian for 34 years at Beaman Memorial Library until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, its Women’s Guild and Just Friends group. She was also a long-time CCD Teacher and Eucharistic Minister for the Parish.
A calling hour for Peg will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. The funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Lancaster Street, West Boylston.
