Marie A.J. Speckmann

Princeton/Westborough - Marie Speckmann, 88 years old of Princeton, MA died in Westborough at Beaumont Rehab & Skilled Nursing on June 30, 2026.

She was born in Worcester MA on May 10, 1938, to Erwin and Marie Speckmann. Her brother Erwin was born in Worcester, MA on May 7, 1935.

Marie moved with her family from Worcester to Princeton in 1942. She went to school in the area and graduated from Wachusett High School in 1956. She lived in Princeton most of her life.

After graduation she worked at Norton Co. as a secretary.

She went to Anna Maria College and received her Associates and Bachelors degree in 1981, at the age of 43.

She nursed her mother at home until her passing in 1992.

She took care of her father until his passing in 1998.

She enjoyed riding and caring for her horse Snooks which she had for many years. She liked her German Shepard dogs as well as photography, nature, gardening and traveling.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Marie Speckmann. She is survived by her brother Erwin Speckman, his wife Susan, and their children; Tammy, Debbie and William. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, a grand niece and nephew as well as cousins.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30PM, followed by a service, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St. Holden MA 01520. A private burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Princeton at the family’s convenience.
