HOLDEN – Marilyn L. (Labossiere) Roy, 85, of Holden, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, in her home, surrounded by the family who loved her dearly.

Marilyn was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Russell and Lois (Syner) Labossiere.

Marilyn modeled what it truly means to live fully. She approached each day with strength, determination, and joy, and was the ultimate example of dedication and resilience. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to support her children, spending more than 30 years with Travelers Insurance, while often balancing second, and third jobs to ensure her family had everything they needed. Her work ethic was unmatched, but her heart belonged completely to her family and the people she loved.

Marilyn had a “tribe” like no other. She loved to travel, was an avid reader, and found great joy in spending time at the beach. For more than 20 years, she spent time at the Colonial Club in Boynton Beach, Florida, where she made countless friends within the community. Those friendships were incredibly meaningful, both to Marilyn and to the many people there who held her dear to their hearts. Above all else, she cherished time with her family and friends, and she created lasting memories with all those fortunate enough to know her.

She leaves her loving family, including her two sons, Craig Roy and his wife, Cindi, and Todd Roy and his wife, Chrissy; her grandchildren, Jennifer Roy, Corey Roy and his wife, Gina, Erica Roy, and Alex Roy; and her longtime companion, Rodney White of Holden.

Marilyn also leaves her niece, Stephanie Tuccio, and her husband, Andrew, and their five children, Noah Waterman, Michael Waterman, Reece Waterman, Abigail Tuccio, and Andrew Tuccio, Jr.

Marilyn also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchild, Ayla, whom she held incredibly dear to her heart.

Marilyn will be remembered for her strength, resilience, loyalty, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00. Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Worcester County Memorial Park, located at 217 Richards Ave, Paxton MA 01612.
