Biography
PRINCETON – Marjorie J. (Gaudette) Jodrey, 68, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was born in Holden, a daughter of the late Rudolph W. and Barbara P. (Bryant) Gaudette.
Marjorie was raised in Princeton and attended Wachusett Regional High School. Her career as a nurse's aide spanned nearly 3 decades. She retired from Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center several years ago. She also provided private home care. Marjorie enjoyed searching for treasures at flea markets and fairs. She spent time vacationing and visiting the area around the southern coast of Maine with her mother. Marjorie was happiest spending time with her extended family. She will be remembered as a loving and giving woman. Her unexpected loss leaves a great sadness in hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Marjorie leaves her son, Sean W. Gaudette of Princeton; her sister, Leslie I. Kenney and her husband, Philip of Princeton. Marjorie shared a special “second mother” relationship with her nieces and nephew, Michelle L. Whittall and her husband, Brandon of New York, Tina L. Blumer and her husband, Steven of Sterling and Neil B. Whitney and his wife, Tryston of New Hampshire. She also was a special “auntie" to their children, Kalyssa and Rylie Whittall, Evan, Michael, Alyssa and Andrew Blumer and Olivia and MacKenzie Whitney.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marjorie’s family on Thursday, April 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A prayer service celebrating her life will then follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Princeton will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hope Chapel, 35 Chocksett Road, Sterling, MA 01564.
