HOLDEN - Mary L. (Taylor) Morse, 64, of Putnam Lane, died peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester after a short illness. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Mabel L. (Allard) and John T. Taylor, Sr.
She graduated from Fanning Trade School in Worcester. She most recently worked as a monitor at Dawson Elementary School in Holden where the students lovingly nicknamed her "Monkey".
Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved to spoil, attending car, van and camping shows as well as vacationing at the beach and watching the sunset. She always enjoyed the company of others. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, genuine personality and gentle spirit.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Gerald L. Morse in 2009. She leaves her companion, David Moseley of Holden; her daughters, Tammy L. Foy of Holden and Mindy M. MacAlister and her husband, Brandon of Pomfret, CT; her 5 precious grandchildren, Brandon and Jamie Foy and Katelyn, Noah and Allison MacAlister; and her brother, Ronald Taylor and his wife, Nancy of Worcester. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas T. Taylor, Jr., Robert Taylor and Nettie Kimbar.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 - 6 pm on Saturday, May 24, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. Mary's funeral will be private.
