FITCHBURG – Matthew A. Dube, age 43, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a short illness on April 30, 2025. Born on August 4, 1981, to John and Jane (Himmer) Dube. Matt grew up in Sterling, where he developed a passion for life that would touch everyone around him. He graduated from Wachusett High School in 2000.

Matt dedicated over a decade of his life to Elevation 3D, where he started in 2011 and worked his way up to warehouse supervisor. He was well-respected by his coworkers, often taking on the role of mentor and providing guidance to those around him. His work ethic and dedication earned him admiration from all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

In a beautiful chapter of his life, Matthew married Aolani L. Brown, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship. He was a devoted husband, caring deeply for Aolani and her children, Alicia Brown and Jaryn Grimes. Matthew embraced his role as a loving stepfather and was cherished by all of Aolani’s family.

He is survived by his wife, Aolani L. Brown; his father, John Dube of Sterling; his brothers, Andrew Dube of Oxford and Stephen Dube, along with his significant other, Amy Orsalock of Lunenburg; his brother in laws, Kyle Brown and Robert Brown, and his adored niece, Gabriella, and nephew, Nathan and their mother Melissa Dube. Matthew also shared a special bond with his childhood friend, Jeffrey Bartek, with whom he remained close throughout the years.

Matthew was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jane Dube who passed away in February 2025.

Matt was known for his kind heart and beautiful soul. He loved fishing with friends and his wife, cherishing each moment spent in nature. He held a deep love for his brothers, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures.

A Celebration of Matthew’s Life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Barbers Crossings North; 175 Leominster Rd Sterling.

Matthew A. Dube will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, inspiring them with the love and joy he brought into their lives.
