HOLDEN – Muriel M. (Forrest) Wilber, 93, formerly of Holden, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, under the loving care of the Lutheran Healthcare Center of Worcester.
Muriel was born and raised in Lynn, the daughter of Ernest L. and Ethel (Parker) Forrest and lived 50 years in Holden before moving to Worcester. Her husband, Jack T. Wilber, Sr. died in 1999. She graduated from Lynn English High School and later worked at Denholm & McKay Co., a department store in Worcester. Muriel was a member of Chaffin Congregational Church in Holden for many years.
Muriel is survived by her daughter, Dolly W. Donaldson and her husband Ed of Stratford, Connecticut; a son, Jack T. Wilber, Jr. and his companion Janice Streeter of Inverness, Florida; six grandchildren, Kathleen, Patricia, Sheila, Lisa, David, and Thomas; and several great grandchildren. A son, Thomas C. Wilber and two brothers, Thomas and Robert Forrest, predeceased her.
A service honoring Muriel’s life will be private. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chaffin Congregational Church, 155 Shrewsbury Street, Holden, MA 01520, or the Lutheran Healthcare Center of Worcester, 26 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
