Holden – Michael J. Keville, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Born in East Brookfield, Michael was the son of the late Elizabeth M. “Bette” (Sansoucy) and George J. Keville, Jr. He was a proud graduate of David Prouty High School, Class of 1969.

Following high school, Michael attended Quinsigamond Community College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree. He began his professional career working for several companies, including Tom McAn and Chess King, before joining KomTek Technologies in Worcester. A dedicated and valued employee, Michael remained with KomTech for 42 years until his retirement in 2020.

Michael found great joy in tending his gardens and caring for his home. He was an avid traveler whose heart was always drawn to the ocean. Though he explored many destinations throughout his life, he returned time and again to the beaches of Ogunquit, Maine, a place that brought him peace and happiness. Above all else, he treasured his family. He took immense pride in his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose accomplishments and happiness brought him endless joy.

Michael will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his partner and best friend of 35 years, Steven LaPlante; his daughters, Kizzy Handsman and her husband, David, of Worcester, and Tonya Keville and her fiancé, Andrew DuBois, of Fitchburg; his sister, Kathleen Jacques and her husband, Barry, of Cherry Valley; his grandchildren, Andrew Thorne, Mackenzie Maldonado, Tori Thorne, and Livia Handsman; his great-grandchildren, Josiah Wood and Matteo Thorne; his nieces, Danielle Breault and Alyssa Waldorf; his nephew, Paul Jacques; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his former spouse, Nola Walls.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Michael’s hospice nurse, Liz; his social worker, Kelly; and his aide, Tina, for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they provided during his final days.

Family and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed immediately by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
