OXFORD – Bradley M. Podesta, 49, of Oxford, died Sunday, October 26, 2008 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home after a courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer.
Brad leaves his mother, Lois E. (Mullen) Podesta of Holden; three brothers, Brian J. Podesta of Sutton, Charles H. Podesta of Ludlow and Raymond A. Podesta of Winchendon; a sister, Patricia M. Podesta of Holden; his Godchild, Marissa; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Raymond P. Podesta and lived in Holden, Worcester and 10 years in Oxford. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Quinsigamond Community College; and worked at Allegro Micro Systems, formerly Sprague Electric, in Worcester for 25 years. He previously worked at Hunt's Service Station and Holden District Hospital.
He enjoyed 35 years of riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and attending the Laconia Rallies. He was a member of the Allegro Golf League and a "12 time loser" to his father Ray, in the Sherwood Hill Golf Tournament. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 31th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Brad will be held on Saturday, November 1st, from the funeral home with a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton St., Jefferson. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
