WEST BOYLSTON – Norman P. Lecuyer, 81, of West Boylston, died Sunday, July 30, 2006, in the Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, after a long illness.
His wife of 55 years, Marion E. (French) Lecuyer, died in March, 2004. He leaves his son, Kevin P. Lecuyer of West Boylston; a daughter, Siobhan M. Bohnson and her husband Paul of West Boylston; 4 grandchildren, Bridget and Kayla Bohnson of West Boylston, Lynne Hanson and her husband Christian of North Oxford and Shannon Lecuyer of Sterling; many nephews and nieces. His son, Michael P. Lecuyer, a brother Raymond Lecuyer, and a sister Claire Mahoney, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of J. Willy and Alida M. (Simard) Lecuyer, and lived in the Morningdale section of Boylston for 40 years and several years in West Boylston.
Mr. Lecuyer graduated from St. Stephen’s High School, worked many years for Table Talk Bakery in Worcester and was a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Dennis Highland Golf Course in Dennis where he worked for 20 years while living in South Yarmouth. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and the Elks Lodge #243 in Worcester.
The funeral for Mr. Lecuyer will be held on Friday, August 4, from the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, with a Mass at 1 p.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street (Rte. 140), West Boylston. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the Mass in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakdale Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, Activities Fund, 76 North Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
