WEST BOYLSTON – Pamela J. Costa, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. Born in Worcester and raised in Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elaine (Ferrandino) Costa.
Pam was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School, Class of 1979. She went on to further her education at Assumption College where she earned a master’s degree in business administration. She enjoyed a long career as a System Analyst Project Manager working at All America Group, GTE and UMass Medical School.
Pam looked forward to her summers in Wells, Maine where she has been going since she was a little girl. She loved her trips to Aruba with her parents and sister Robin. Most recently, she enjoyed spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee watching the great nieces and nephews playing in the water.
Above all else, Pam was devoted to her two nieces, Melanie and Ashley and their children. To say she was “obsessed” with them would be an understatement. She lived for them because they were the most important people in her life.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her two sisters, Patricia Stankevitz and her husband, William of Northbridge and Robin Ferguson of West Boylston, with whom she lived; her nieces, Melanie Dietel and her husband, John of Sutton and Ashley Rainho and her husband Joshua of Norton; two great-nieces, Clara and Elle Dietel; two great-nephews, Cameron and Noah Rainho; and her best friend, Karen Inderwish of West Boylston.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, helpfightra.org.
