STERLING - Pamela “Pam” J. (Wayman) Pingeton, 53, beloved wife of Jeffrey Pingeton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on Monday, November 18, 2019. Born and raised in Worcester, Pam was the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth and Theresa (Libuda) Wayman.
Pam’s life was dedicated to faith, family, and service to others. She enriched the lives of her fellow parishoners at St. Richards by fulfilling the roles of both CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister. Pam will always be remembered as the one-of-a-kind “Mrs. Pingeton” to the dozens of students she taught during her time as a third grade teacher in both Sterling and Wayland. Her students, whom she lovingly referred to as her “Pingeton Pals,” now serve as legacies for the constant creativity, passion, and energy she was known to always bring to the classroom. A talented artist, avid reader, and writer, Pam leaves behind a multitude of beautiful keepsakes in the form of paintings, sketches, poems, and insightful prose for her family and friends to forever cherish.
She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband of 27 years, Jeff; her children, Daniel Pingeton and Caroline “CJ” Pingeton, both of Sterling; a brother, Jeffrey Wayman of Templeton, her two sisters, Monica Coakley and her husband, Thomas of Charlton and Kate Ceccarelli and her husband, David of Cape Cod; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pam was predeceased by her brother, David Murphy.
