Patricia R. Fisher

Sterling

Sterling - Patricia Rosalind (Faucher) Fisher, 80, died peacefully at home on Friday, May 8, 2026 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Webster, MA, the daughter of the late Leo and Antoinette (LaBonte) Faucher and was raised in North Grosvenordale, CT.

Patricia graduated from Putnam Catholic Academy with the Class of 1963 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps until a medical discharge cut short her service. After such time her diverse talents led her to try various jobs ranging from nursing assistant to bookkeeper, eventually deciding on a career as a secretary.

She met the love of her life and future husband, Martin Fisher, while working for Jefferson Cable Company in the sales department. Together they built a life in Worcester and Clinton before settling in Sterling in 1973.

A devoted wife and mother, Patricia dedicated herself to raising her children and caring for her home. She was actively involved in B.S.A. Troop 1 in Sterling and the Sterling 4-H Horse Club, where she served as a club leader and enjoyed volunteering with youth activities. Although never having converted, Patricia was also a dedicated participant and supporter of Congregation Agudat Achim Synogogue of Leominster, MA where she and Martin raised their children in the Jewish faith.

She had many interests, most notably family genealogy, Native American history and art, and her love of raising and showing horses, first with the 4-H club, then as a riding instructor and later at the regional Arabian breed horse shows.

Patricia also had a passion for black and white photography and archery. An accomplished instructor and competitive archer, she medaled in the Baystate Games and Senior Olympics.

She especially treasured time spent with her family and close circle of friends, which brought her the greatest joy.

Later in life, Patricia took over and operated her family's business, The James Monroe Wire and Cable Co. in Lancaster, MA with her son David and she co-owned The 228 in Sterling and Cordials Catering and Beverages with her daughter, Sharon.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Fisher in 2005 and her brother Robert Faucher. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her son, David Fisher and his wife, Susan of Sterling; her daughter, Sharon Fisher Olsen and her husband, Dag of Princeton; her sister-in-law Patricia Faucher of Putnam, CT; her beloved grandchildren, Madelyn and Allyson Fisher and Marion, Inge, Martin and Erik Olsen; nephews, nieces and their families.
