HOLDEN / EAST DENNIS - Peter J. Davidian, 78, of East Dennis and formerly of Holden, died peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the McCarthy Care Center, Sandwich.



Peter was born on May 31, 1936 in Lawrence, son of Katchig and Rose (Chilingirian) Davidian. He graduated from Lawrence High School and attended Northeastern University in Boston where he completed coursework in Industrial Security and Law Enforcement. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.



His career started with Sander's Associates as a senior security manager, security director at GCA Corporation, and system security manager at New England Electric System, retiring in 1995. Upon retirement, he joined his wife in their antique business, Davidian Americana.



Prior to retiring to East Dennis, Peter previously lived in Burlington, Mass, Merrimack, NH and Holden, Mass. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Harwich, the Wachusett Old Car Club, American Society for Industrial Security, Associate Member of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association, and a member and former Vice President of the Cape Cod Antique Dealers Association.



He leaves his beloved wife of 53 years, Elizabeth "Betty" (Hale) Davidian; his cousin, Rose Annaian; his sister-in-law, Betty Ann (Locke) Hale of Holden; several nephews and a niece and several grand nieces and grand nephews. Three sisters, Rose, Elizabeth and Anita predeceased him.



A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the First Congregational Church of Harwich with the Rev. Thomas C. Leinbach officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Harwich, 697 Main Street, Harwich, MA 02645; or to the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, 27 Park Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
