HUBBARDSTON - Rachel L. Pride (Ojeda), after battling ovarian cancer for the past six years, passed away peacefully with her parents and sisters by her side on June 20th, 2025.
Rachel enjoyed 6 beautiful years of marriage to the love of her life, her husband Matthew Pride of Southbridge.
Born in Worcester, Rachel is the beloved daughter of Francisco and Adele (Fredette) Ojeda Jr. She received a certificate in Culinary Arts from the Salter School in West Boylston, MA.
Known for being an excellent baker and chef, Rachel notably made the best mac and cheese, and Tres Leches cake. After pursuing her passion for cooking by earning a certificate from culinary school, Rachel began working as a chef for the Department of Youth Services. In her spare time, she loved crocheting, going to the movies, playing board games, and doing crafts, especially with her nieces and nephew. She could watch her favorite movie, Lilo & Stitch, on repeat.
Rachel lived every day of her life with a passion that was unmatched. She never failed to take time out of her day to help put a smile on the face of a complete stranger if she felt they needed it. Due to this she had the uncanny power to make you feel like the most important person in the room. Although she was here for a short time she will live in the hearts and memories of everyone she knew forever.
Along with her husband Matthew and her parents, Francisco and Adele, Rachel leaves her sisters, Jennifer Robles and her husband Alex of Worcester, Jillian Morse and her husband Daniel of Hubbardston, and Megan Ojeda and her partner Nick Linfield of Hubbardston; her grandparents, Francisco Ojeda Sr.; her adoring nephew and nieces, Landon, Savannah, Julianna, Lilly, Taylor, Madyson, and Emilia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. On the same day that Rachel left this world, her cherished Nana, Asuncion Prats, unexpectedly followed her into eternity- a poignant reflection of their deep bond.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 25th from 5:00PM – 8:00PM at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, June 26th at 10:00AM in the funeral home. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
In honor of Rachel’s favorite color, the family kindly requests that any floral tributes be in shades of pink.
