Southborough, MA

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA - Raemah A. (Gooley) Williams, 96, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her daughter’s home on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Born in Boston and raised in West Newton, Raemah was the daughter of the late Dr. Henry N. Gooley and Helene A. (O’Connor) Gooley. She attended Newton Public Schools and went on to further her education at Colby Junior College, where she earned a degree in Healthcare Administration.

While on a blind date in Cape Cod, Raemah met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Williams. The two married at St. Bernard’s Church in Newton. Together, they raised their family in Southborough and shared 62 happy years together until Bob’s passing in 2014.

In 1979, Raemah and Bob moved to Eastman in Grantham, NH where they spent several decades enjoying the beauty and rustic charm of the Upper Valley. Raemah and Bob went on to own and operate Woodbine Fine Gifts, a business they grew to several locations due to their hard work and dedication.

Raemah was deeply involved in the community and enjoyed memberships in the International Women’s Club, the Hanover Garden Club, and the CCBA recreation center, where she made many dear friends. She especially enjoyed water aerobics, tending to her garden, preparing cherished family recipes, and cheering on her beloved Boston Red Sox. A devoted fan, she never missed an opportunity to follow the team and share an impressive array of statistics.

Her family and her faith were most important to her, never missing a birthday, milestone, or special occasion to let her loved ones know she was thinking of them. She will be most remembered for her thoughtfulness, quick-wit, impeccable manners, generosity, and love of sweets.

Raemah is survived by her beloved children: Sharon Conner and her husband, Paul, of Worcester; Sheryl MacDonald and her husband, Elmer, of Littleton, NH; Jeffrey Williams and his fiancée, Deborah Thurston, of Merrimack, NH; Stephen Williams and his wife, Lorraine, of Westborough; and Raemah Lavallee of Worcester.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Matthew Conner; Patrick Conner, his son Sean, and Sean’s mother, Jeanine Lincoln; Leili McMurrough her husband, Brian, and their children, Audrey and Clara; Ashley Moghari and her partner, Jordan Wigdor; Molly Moghari her husband, Luke Bristol, and their children, Kellan, Emmett, and Bryn; Michael Moghari and his partner, Nicole Cote, and their children, Gabriella and Gavin; Olivia Williams; Lauren Lavallee; and Julia Lavallee and her partner, Michael Abramo, and their daughter, Isla.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert “Bob” Williams, and her son-in-law, Paul Lavallee.

Raemah will also be lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law, Lt. Col. C.Y. Williams and his wife, Nitsa, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. George Catholic Church, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester. All guests are kindly asked to gather directly at the church. Interment will be held privately.
