Rutland

RUTLAND- The world lost a truly wonderful man on Thursday, July 2, 2026, when Ralph E. Caloiaro, known affectionately to friends and family as "Bobo" passed away at the age of 73. He was born in Holden on April 23, 1953, and raised in Rutland, to the late Ralph and Gloria M. (Willett) Caloiaro. He was a 1971 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and attended Quinsigamond Community College.

Bobo lived a full and vibrant life. An amateur comedian/storyteller at heart who believed any problem could be solved with a good laugh and a hard days work. He dedicated many years of his life as a well-rounded entrepreneur operating T&T Oil, Caloiaro Construction/Trucking, and Greenstone Development. Bobo was highly respected for his machine operating skills, perfectionism and attention to detail for his craft, that included many years of experience in construction. Beyond his professional life, his real joy was family camping trips, boating, hunting driving anywhere for a good meal and sports. Bobo was a member of the Central Mass Drag Racers of New England and could often be seen racing his 1964 Ford Falcon at the New England Dragway. He also participated in assisting the football coaches at Wachusett Regional High School, which brought much joy to his life. If you were out with Bobo, there wasn't one person who didn't know and adore him. His presence was huge in his family and friends' lives. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.

Missing him dearly are his wife, Mary Caloiaro, his cherished daughter Jessica Caloiaro and his adored grandchildren, Anthony and Beau Hickey; his sister Donna and her husband, William Fougere and their son James Fougere; Marys' four sisters and their husbands; and a close-knit circle of cousins, nieces and nephews; including his god children Samantha Belanger, James Fougere, and Andrea Caloiaro.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit Ralph's family during a period of calling hours on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, MA.
