Randy Stephen Cowart

RUTLAND – Randy S. Cowart, 53, went home to the Lord unexpectedly at home on Saturday, November 21, 2015. He was born in Houston, TX, and had lived most of his life in Texas before moving to Rutland in 2008.
He leaves his loving wife, Rosemary (Gallant) Cowart; a son, Daniel Harter and his wife, Jennifer of Round Rock, TX; a daughter, Shannon Landquist of Rutland; his parents, Rev. Leon T. and Geneva R. (Gray) Cowart of Willis, TX; a brother, Ronnie L. Cowart of Texas; a sister, Rhonda L. Pagan of Texas; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Randy was a Navy veteran serving aboard the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67.
He was security officer for Securitas at Intel in Hudson for over 6 years. He was an accomplished woodworker and he loved animals, especially his dog, Toebee and his cat, Tiger.
A funeral service for Randy will be held on Sat., Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will be held at the Central Texas Veterans’ Cemetery in Killeen, TX. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Sweet Pea for Animals, 1090 Pleasant Street, Paxton, MA 01612.
