Richard L. Fiske, Jr.

SHREWSBURY - Richard L. Fiske, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Born and raised in Worcester, Richard was the son of the late Richard L. and Dorothy H. (Balston) Fiske. He was educated in the Worcester Public Schools and graduated from Commerce High School. He furthered his education at Quinsigamond Community College before entering the workforce. Richard went on to purchase F.J. Charron & Son Piano Store on Main Street in Worcester, where he proudly owned and operated the business while also working as a skilled piano technician for fifteen years. His entrepreneurial spirit later led him to establish his own piano tuning and repair service, where he became well known for his craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dedication to preserving the beauty of fine instruments.

Richard was a man of many interests and quiet talents. He found great joy in preparing savory meals for those he loved, and music remained a lifelong passion as he enjoyed playing both the piano and organ. He treasured his visits to Ogunquit, Maine, especially leisurely walks along the scenic Marginal Way. Richard also had a remarkable aptitude for rebuilding old electronic devices, took pride in tending his garden, and was devoted to his beloved cats. Above all else, he cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family, whose love and companionship were the greatest joys of his life.

He leaves behind his three beloved children, two cherished grandchildren, several extended family members, and countless dear friends who will remember him for his kindness, generosity, gentle spirit, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.

In accordance with Richard's wishes, all services will be held privately.
