Robert J. Mason

STERLING – Robert J. Mason, 74, beloved husband of Marion J. (Tole) Mason, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born and raised in Worcester, he was the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Paquin) Mason.

Bob was a graduate of the Worcester Boys’ Trade School. He went on to enjoy a long career as a machinist, having worked for Crisci Tool & Die in Leominster, Rodger Tool & Die Company in Worcester, and retiring from Lutco, Inc. in Worcester.

In his spare time, he enjoyed a good game of Bingo and trips to the casino where he would play the slot machines. Those who know Bob best will always remember his love of music.

He truly was the “Music Man” singing until the very end.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife, Marion with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on June 27, 1970; his daughter, Heather Mason and her partner, Jim Duquette of Holden; his son, Ross Mason and his girlfriend, Joanne Edgar of Ware; three brothers including David Mason and Alan Mason, both of Worcester and Brian Mason of Brookfield; two sisters, Barbara Rogers and her husband, Richard of Worcester and Shirley Wronski and her husband, David Woods of Brookfield; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Mason. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Roy Mason.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Bob’s family from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 27 in the Miles-Sterling Funeral & Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling.
