Robert J. Sandberg

Worcester - Robert J. Sandberg, 85, of Worcester, passed away on September 19, 2026, at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

Born in Worcester, Robert was the son of the late Albert and H. Constance (Lydgman) Sandberg. He grew up in Worcester and graduated from South High before entering the workforce. He was known for his quiet strength, warm presence, and remarkable attention to detail. An attentive and observant man, he had a special gift for noticing the small things—always able to pick out the details that others might miss.

Robert was also remembered as a devoted caretaker to his parents, offering steady support, patience, and love throughout their lives.

He is survived by his brother, John Sandberg and his wife Elaine (Erickson) Sandberg. Robert is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Carl Sandberg, Krystin Turner, Wendy Mickel, and Albert F. Sandberg III.

Robert was predeceased by his brother Albert F. Sandberg Jr.

A visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Home Tuesday, 1158 Main St. Holden MA, October 6, 2026, beginning at 2:00PM. A memorial service will follow immediately after beginning at 3:00PM.
