West Boylston/Englewood, FL – Robert B. “Bobby” Soule, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Robert and Gwendolyn (Brown) Soule and was raised in West Boylston.
Bobby was a proud graduate of West Boylston Middle/High School, Class of 1968, and went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he pursued a career in electrical engineering. He worked for G.E. Supply in Worcester and Saint-Gobain, but found his professional home as a lineman with the West Boylston Municipal Light Department, where he dedicated the majority of his career.
Upon retirement, Bobby and his beloved wife of 41 years, Francine (Allen) Soule, embraced a life of balance and joy, splitting their time between Wells Beach, Maine and Englewood, Florida. In both places, they built lasting friendships and lasting memories. He enjoyed many years and fond memories with friends and family on Rattlesnake Island, Lake Winnipesaukee.
Bobby will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor, his signature "Bobbyisms," and his zest for life. He had a unique gift for making others laugh and feel welcome, and his vibrant spirit left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
In addition to his devoted wife, Francine, Bobby is survived by his sister, Janet Bartlett, and her husband, Jim; sister-in-laws, Marian Antul, Nancy Lagerstrom; brother-in-laws, Phil Langerstrom and Donald Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at The Manor Restaurant, 42 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. Burial will be private.
