WORCESTER - Robert "Bobby" Weilbrenner, 58, of Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away at home on November 24, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 31, 1967, in Shirley, Massachusetts, Bobby lived a life marked by dedication to his family, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. His athleticism in younger years gave way to a quiet strength later in life.
Bobby was the beloved husband of Karen Weilbrenner, his high school sweetheart and lifelong partner. He was a proud father to Nick Weilbrenner and Matt Weilbrenner-his greatest joy came from watching his sons grow into the men they are today. Bobby also had a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Babe and Buster, who will be at his side again, and Buddy will continue to protect Bob's family.
He was the cherished brother of Dawn Potvin and her husband Jeff Potvin; Leah Perry and her husband Dave Perry; Mark Weilbrenner; and Katy Weilbrenner Jones. Bobby also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him with affection and admiration. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose Perry and Robert Weilbrenner Sr., whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.
Bob was a skilled construction worker known for his ability and hard work. Over a 40-year career, he took pride in the jobs that he worked on, making sure to often point them out to his sons. One of his jobs took him to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands where he learned to scuba dive. He cherished the friendships that he made over the years and he looked forward to their visits, up until the very end.
Outside of work, Bobby found joy in the simple things in life. He loved fishing, camping, and cultivated a passion for gardening. He took great pride in his bountiful harvests and was especially known for baking cookies using ingredients from his own garden; a tradition that brought smiles to many. He treasured time spent in York, Maine and Key Colony Beach in Florida-places that brought him peace and happiness.
Fulfilling Bobby's wishes, his family will gather privately to honor his memory and celebrate the special life he shared with them.
"May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him."
