Ronald A. Abrahamson

STERLING – Ronald D. Abrahamson, 72, formerly of 97 Redemption Rock Trail, died suddenly on Sunday May 22, 2005, in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.
His wife of 48 years, Louise M. (Clemence) Abrahamson, died in 1999. He leaves two daughters, Diane L. and her husband Stanley Kowalczyk of Barre and Christine M. and her husband, Daniel Vandal of Spencer; a brother, David Abrahamson of MA; five grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Alfred and Elsie (Dahl) Abrahamson, and moved to Sterling in the 1950’s. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.
Mr. Abrahamson worked for the Sterling School System for many years. Previously he worked for Norton Company and R. E. Chapman Company He enjoyed drawing, nature and refinishing antique furniture.
The funeral service for Mr. Abrahamson will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, in the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road (Rte. 62), Sterling. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 North Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
