Rosa (Shifrin) Sokolovsky

HOLDEN, MA – Rosa (Shifrin) Sokolovsky, age 94, died peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Holden Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, surrounded by the loving presence of her family. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Rosa was the daughter of Grigoriy and Fruma (Gershman) Shifrin.

After attending college, Rosa worked as a Procurement Manager at a Watch Factory in Minsk, Belarus.

Rosa will be lovingly missed and remembered by her devoted children, Vitaly Sokolovsky and his wife, Elina, and Tatyana Gorodetsky and her husband, Jacob, all of Holden; her cherished grandchildren Eugene Sokolovsky, Michael Sokolovsky and Lilly Dickinson, Olga Franklin and her husband Chris Franklin, Dmitry Gorodetsky, Catherine Gorodetsky; sister in law, Polina Sokolovskaya and nephew Igor Sokolovsky; her niece Alla Braz. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alexander Sokolovsky and her sister Lilia Shelest (Shifrin).

Family and friends will gather to honor Rosa’s memory at her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13th at the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Holy Society Cemetery, Havana Road, Leicester. Memorial Observance will be announced. Arrangements are in the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
