West Boylston/Worcester – Sharyn A. (Murphy) Beauregard, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the cherished daughter of the late Virginia H. (Reeves) Murphy and John F. Murphy, Jr., and was born and raised in Worcester.

Sharyn grew up in the Greendale neighborhood of Worcester and graduated from the former Ascension Central Catholic High School with the Class of 1966. She continued her education at Worcester State College, earning a bachelor’s degree in education in 1970, and later received a master’s degree from Assumption University.

A dedicated and accomplished professional, Sharyn began her career as a teacher at Shrewsbury High School. She later joined the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, working in the Accounting Department, where she met the love of her life and future husband, Robert. She subsequently built a successful career with New England Telephone Company, later Verizon, remaining with the company until her retirement in 2002. Sharyn and Robert made their home in Worcester for many years before relocating to West Boylston in 2013.

Above all else, Sharyn treasured her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, celebrating life’s everyday moments and special occasions alike. In retirement, she especially cherished her many trips to Michigan to visit her son Scott and his family. She was also an avid sports fan including all the New England sports teams, Tennis, and auto racing.

Sharyn will be lovingly missed and remembered by her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert C. Beauregard, Jr.; her sons, Mark Beauregard and his wife, Jennifer, of Hudson, and Scott Beauregard and his wife, Jennifer Sting, of Michigan; her sisters, Susan Marchetti and her husband Tony (predeceased) of Auburn; Cally Nault and her husband, David, of Brimfield; her brother Brian Murphy and his wife Anne of Holden; her cherished grandchildren, Avery, Elinor, and Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard Murphy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
