HOLDEN - Sherry A. (Hutter) Hazelton, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her beloved husband, son, and friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Sherry was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Beverly M. (Morris) Hutter. She attended Lancaster public schools and was a graduate of Lancaster High School. Following high school, she continued her education at Erie Community College, where she earned an associate degree in Chemical Technology.

Sherry went on to build a career as a chemical laboratory technician, working first for Kodak and later for Pfizer. After retiring from her career, she devoted herself to being a homemaker and caring for her family, a role she cherished deeply.

While attending college, Sherry met Kenneth Hazelton. What began as a friendship quickly blossomed into a loving relationship, and within a few short months, they began dating. On November 26, 1983, Sherry and Ken were married at Sacred Heart Church in Bowmansville, New York. Together, they started their family in New London, Connecticut before moving to Holden, Massachusetts, where they settled.

Sherry found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, photography, cooking, and baking, and looked forward to holidays and the traditions that brought her family together. She enjoyed swimming and camping, especially trips to the Allegany State Park, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Above all else, Sherry treasured time spent with her family. Her love, kindness, and devotion to those closest to her will remain a lasting part of their lives.

Sherry leaves behind her beloved husband of 42 years, Kenneth T. Hazelton of Holden; her cherished son, Ian E. Hazelton and his wife, Nicole, of Leominster; her brother, David Hutter and his wife, Marlene, of Alden, New York; and her sister, Lori Lukas and her husband, David Earl, of Genoa, New York. In addition to her parents, Sherry was predeceased by her dear son, Wyatt S. Hazelton, and her sister, Lisa A. Hutter.
