Soesmono Kartono

HOLDEN - Soesmono Kartono, age 87, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra L. (Cray) Kartono, loving father to Christina and Douglas, and a proud, loving grandfather of Annabelle Kartono.

Soes' career paths included work as both a mechanical engineer and teacher, the latter being where his true passion was found. Throughout their married life, Soes and Sande shared a love for travel. From camping with their children and parents in tent and motorhome, to the luxury of condos and cruises, their travels eventually brought them to 86 countries. From tennis and fishing, to long walks and bird watching, making new friends and sharing time with family, Soes found so many ways to enjoy life.

His beautiful smile and loving spirit will be sorely missed.

Calling hours will be held on May 8th from 10:00–11:30 AM at Miles Funeral Home in Holden, followed by a funeral service. Burial will take place at Eastwood Cemetery in Lancaster. A collation will be held in the vestry of First Congregational Church of Holden, 180 Main St, Holden, following the burial.
