Stella Emefa Nyahe

Stella Emefa Nyahe passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6th, 2026, at her residence in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Born in Accra, Ghana, she was the daughter of the late Morris Kwaku Sosthenos and Ruby Akosua Nyahe (Kwami).

Stella grew up in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (West Africa) where her father worked as a diplomat. She graduated from Achimota School and Akosombo International School in Accra, Ghana. Stella earned a Business Administration degree from the University of New Hampshire (UNH). For more than two decades, Stella worked in investment banking, leisure and the pharmaceutical sectors along the East Coast of the USA.

Stella will be remembered as a woman of remarkable grace and gentle strength. She was known for her kindness, humility, soft-spoken nature, caring spirit, and loving heart. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and she carried herself with quiet dignity and compassion.

Stella enjoyed reading, listening to music, travelling, fashion, and cooking. She was always ready to serve others with generosity. Intelligent and affable, Stella also had a love for speaking French and Ewe, her native language, and took pride in connecting with others through conversation and culture.

Her humor and warmth, radiant smile brought joy to everyone around her. Stella had a way of lifting spirits with her jokes and gentle laughter. Stella’s beautiful life and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Stella is survived by her three loving siblings, Michael Kafui Nyahe, Phyllis Mawuse Nyahe and Patricia Sika Nyahe. She also leaves behind her two nephews, Julian and Alexander.

The family invites friends for visitation on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Miles Funeral Home (1158 Main Street, Holden, MA). A procession and funeral will follow at St. Patrick’s Church (258 Main Street, Rutland, MA) at 11:00 am. A private burial will be held at a later date. A reception will be held after mass at the private residence of Michael and Leigh Nyahe in Rutland.
