Steven C. Jones

HOLDEN - Steven C. Jones, 72, passed away peacefully at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Steven was born in Worcester, MA and raised in Holden, MA. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School. After graduating, he worked for Nordgren Funeral Home, then he worked for Shipley Company as a Chemtech. Later in his career, he became Shipley’s lead tech service representative. He loved that job because he was able to travel all around the country.

Steven loved to cook, travel, spend time with his family and friends, and take care of Brad’s dog, Loki, who he loved very much. Steven will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generosity and kindness to all.

Steven is survived by his cousins including Marilynn Vaillancourt, Richard Miller, Nancy Olson,

Robert Vorce, Marcia Edick, Paul W. Brown III, Douglas Brown, Susan Swirbalus and Kristin Nyren and many friends - especially Belsi Moran, who was extremely kind and helpful to him. He was predeceased by his loving parents Calvin and Grayce Jones; his brother, Bradley Jones and many aunts and uncles.

Steven’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, MA. Burial will follow at All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steven’s honor to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Boston.
