WORCESTER – Suzanne “Sue” Elaine (Robbins) Feldman passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on May 3rd at the Jewish Healthcare Center, surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong Worcester resident, she was the daughter of Allyn and Dorothy (Freedman) Robbins.
The love of her life, Herb Feldman—her devoted husband and partner for over 75 years—passed away last October. They met at Sue’s Sweet 16 party in 1945 and never looked back, embarking on a lifetime of love and adventure together.
Sue graduated from Commerce High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Bergen Junior College. She worked for many years in the industrial packaging industry. For over 70 years, Sue and Herb were devoted members of Temple Emanuel Sinai.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter, Nancy F. Feldman of Westwood; her son, Mark A. Feldman and his wife Rhonda Pohl of New York City and Tel Aviv; and her granddaughter, Dara Pohl Feldman of Burlington, VT. She also leaves behind her beloved extended family and many cherished friends.
Sue and Herb cherished their Saturday night dinners with their closest friends, during which, as family lore has it, they solved all of the world’s problems—at least for the evening.
One of Sue’s great passions—discovered later in life—was her love for the New England Patriots. Come football season, she could be found glued to the TV, and woe to anyone who dared make a sound during the game!
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Jewish Healthcare Center for their compassionate care, which provided Sue with dignity and comfort in her final days. They are true angels who walk amongst us.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate and honor Sue’s life at a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, followed by interment at B’nai B’rith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. Memorial observance details will be announced. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sue’s memory may be made to Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609 (www.emanuelsinai.org).
