Thomas O'Callahan

HOLDEN - Thomas Michael O'Callahan, 68, of Holden, completed his conquest of life on November 21, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Son of John and Marie O'Callahan, both from Cambridge, and sibling to Sheila Woods and husband Henry of Holliston, and John O'Callahan and wife Karen, of Greenville, RI, Tom continues to inspire those of us he's left behind.

Tom loved Rosemary (Croke) O'Callahan as a wife, partner, and friend for all their years together, defining the standard of a loving marriage for all who knew them. Tom and Rose have four sons, Thomas of Douglas, Brian and his wife Lauren of Stuart, FL, Patrick and his wife Lisa of Holden, and Michael and his wife Elizabeth of Worcester. Tom was most proud of being a wonderful grandfather. Patrick, the only son who didn't disappoint in this regard, made Tom a "Papa" to Caileigh, Liam, and Ember O'Callahan. The rest of us gave him 3 dogs, 1 turtle, and some amount of cats.

Tom loved people, always taking time to learn about them and welcome them into his extended family. It did not matter who it was or their circumstance in life; Tom was always warm and eager to chat. Tom had an unrelenting positive attitude that permeated everything and everyone in his life.

Tom always put his family first. He could always be found on the sideline of a soccer or hockey game. He was always a phone call away for career advice, brainstorming interesting tech problems and other dad wisdom.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 5th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street in Holden. A mass of Christian burial will be held the following day, Saturday, December 6th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street in Jefferson. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
