February 17, 1962 — October 1, 2014

WORCESTER/NORTHBOROUGH – Timothy S. Kenney, 52, of Worcester, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Tim was born in Worcester on February 17, 1962, raised in Rutland and lived over 10 years in Northborough before moving to Worcester.

He is survived and will be lovingly missed by his two daughters, Catherine and Erin Kenney of Northborough; his parents, Robert J. and Nancy M. (Heiniluoma) Kenney both of Rutland; three sisters, Teresa M. Blair and her husband Clea of Rutland, Christine M. Coz of Canton, Connecticut, and Kathleen M. Kenney of Harwood, Maryland; his friend and former wife, Caren T. (Zelten) Kenney of Northborough; and many nephews and nieces.

Tim graduated from St. John’s High School in 1980 and Assumption College in 1984. He was vice president at Ken-Weld Co. in Worcester for several years. He traveled extensively, which included trips to Europe and Africa. Tim was beloved by his family and friends and will be remembered for his countless selfless acts. “Tim never met a stranger,” and thought of every person he met as a human being, deserving of kindness and respect. Tim most enjoyed spending time with his daughters and volunteering or helping someone in need, expecting nothing in return.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 6, in The Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Assumption College, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester. The Most Reverend Robert J. McManus will be the Principal Celebrant. Interment will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
