STERLING - With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Vinicio Jimenez, age 72, who entered eternal rest on May 2, 2026, in Leominster, Massachusetts. Vinicio was born on March 25, 1954, in Bayacanes, La Vega, Dominican Republic, to his late parents, Cristina Rodriguez and Juan Antonio Jimenez.
Affectionately known as “Nicio” by his mother, Vinicio was the youngest son among nine siblings and shared a deep bond with his family throughout his life.
Vinicio was a devoted and loving husband to Maria Jimenez and a proud father to his nine children: Ycelsa, Wilma, Yaisa, Vinicio, Cristina, Stalin, Niurka, Raidhery, and Adderly. He was also a cherished grandfather, lovingly called “Yeyo” and “Papi” by his 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
After earning his Accounting degree from Pedro Henriquez Ureña, Vinicio proudly worked for Inespre, where he dedicated many years of service. It was during this chapter of his life that he met the love of his life, Maria, at a special event that would forever change his journey.
Vinicio had a passion for life and enjoyed many hobbies, especially softball and baseball, faithfully supporting the Yankees. He also loved dancing, visiting the casino, and trying his luck with scratch tickets. More than anything, he treasured spending time with family and friends, sharing laughter, stories, and wisdom.
Known for his generous heart and strong spirit, Vinicio leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, dedication, and devotion to his family. He was a provider, a supporter, and a man deeply loved by his community. He always had meaningful advice to give and turned everyday moments into valuable life lessons and unforgettable stories.
A man of deep faith, Vinicio was devoted to God and his beliefs as a Catholic and Minister. His kindness, guidance, and unwavering love touched the lives of many.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his beautiful spirit will live on eternally in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
