HOLDEN – William David Brown, 74, beloved husband of Carol J. (Hall) Brown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital. Born in Worcester and raised in Millbury, he was the son of the late David and Evelyn (Bernard) Brown.
Bill was a graduate of Millbury High School, Class of 1971. He went on to enjoy a long career as a mold cleaner for NyproMold in Clinton. He was a member of the Heritage Bible Chapel and the Singletary Rod and Gun Club where he earned many shooting awards. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Gunsmoke, Wagon Train and old Western movies as well as The Three Stooges and Star Trec. Bill was a motorcycle enthusiast and often recalled Carol’s excitement when he picked her up for their very first date and the fun they had traveling all through the town.
He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 44 years, Carol of Holden; his stepdaughter, Cheryl Burman and her husband, David of Parsonsfield, ME; two sisters, Theresa Parr of Surprise, AZ and Janet Snow and her husband, Peter of Grafton; two grandchildren, Holly Duguay and her husband, Zachary of Worcester and Zalea Morin and her fiancé, Paul of Worcester; a great-granddaughter, Penelope Rose Duguay; sister-in-law, Susan Nystrom and her husband, Phil of Arundel, ME; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was deceased by his brother, Richard Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 17 in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. www.milesfuneralhome.com
