William R. DeLoriea

May 7, 1953 — February 9, 2026

Rutland - William (Bill) R. DeLoriea, 72, passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, February 9th after a battle with cancer.

He is survived by his two daughters, Leighann Farmer and her husband Jeff with whom Bill lived in Rutland, and Nicole Twomey and her husband Ryan of Dedham; two granddaughters, who were his world, Kyla Farmer of Randallstown MD, and Kaylin Farmer of New Brunswick NJ; two brothers, Philip DeLoriea of Iowa and Thomas DeLoriea of Sutton. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Bill was born in Oxford, MA on May 7, 1953. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1972. Bill worked for Norton Company/St. Gobain for 43 years and retired in 2015. Bill enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He loved photographing nature and long rides on his Harley. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was also a member of the Rutland Sportsman's Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill's family on Tuesday, February 17th from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Miles Funeral Home 1158 Main Street, Holden. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, where Bill will be laid to rest alongside his wife Sandra, who predeceased him in 2017.

Bill's family kindly asks that no flowers be sent but that memorial donations are made to VNA Care Fund, 100 Trade Center, Suite G-500, Woburn, MA 01801, or online at www.vnacare.org/donors instead.
