William E. Lindquist, Jr.

PAXTON – William (“Bill”) E. Lindquist, Jr., 74, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, September 18, 2026. Born and raised in Paxton, he was the son of the late William and Jeanne (Kerin) Lindquist.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his three children, Steven Lindquist and his wife, Caitlin, of Hopkinton; John Lindquist of Quincy; and Kara Lindquist Lowen and her husband, Gregory Lowen, of Worcester; his sisters, Bonnie Daddah and Diane Lindquist, both of Spencer; and his five grandchildren, Ciara, Ian, Briana, Walter, and Myra. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Pond, and his former wife, Mary-Ellen (Kalinowski) Lindquist.

Bill graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and enjoyed a long career as a systems analyst, working for many banks and financial institutions over the years. He was an avid car enthusiast, with a particular fondness for Corvettes, and fixed up more than 200 cars before he stopped counting. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, listening to the Red Sox, and spending time in Vermont and New Hampshire. He especially loved sharing his passion for boating with his children and grandchildren, creating many cherished memories together on the water. Above all else, Bill was a loyal family man who valued time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He will be remembered for his wisdom, his measured, steady presence, and his generous spirit. He was always willing to lend a hand - or a car - to family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 28, at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, at the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church Street, Paxton. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Jimmy Fund to support pancreatic cancer research.
