HOLDEN - Winifred A. “Winnie” Weston, 85, died peacefully on the morning of Friday, September 23, 2016. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Arthur and Alice (Dewhurst) Weston and lived in Grafton before moving with her mother to Holden in her middle thirties. Winnie is survived by her little sister (from the Little Sisters Program), April Caricchio and many relatives and close friends. Winnie is predeceased by her brother, Albert, her mother, Alice and her father, Arthur. Winnie graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute School of Industrial Management. She went on to work as Credit Manager for Jamesbury Corporation in Shrewsbury for 31 years, retiring in 1991. Winnie was an elite golf player with Jamesbury Company. She continued to play and enjoy golf after she retired from Jamesbury Corporation. Winnie was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson where she served as a lector and as a Eucharistic Minister for over 20 years. She worked with the Meals on Wheels program in Holden for many years. Winnie had a passion for animals, especially her dog, Ginger and her cat, Lilly.
