HOLDEN – Zachary S. Paskalis, Esq., age 31, passed away at home on Monday, May 19, 2025. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Steven and Pamela (Dion) Paskalis.
Zach grew up in Holden and graduated from St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, class of 2012, where he excelled in both varsity hockey as the goalie and lacrosse. He went on to graduate from Stonehill College and Suffolk University School of Law. Zach worked at Pino Law in Needham as a successful real estate attorney. In addition, he recently returned to Saint John’s to support the hockey program as a volunteer assistant coach on the freshman team helping the next generation develop their skills and find their way outside of the classroom.
Zach was compassionate, thoughtful, loyal to a fault and artistic. All traits that he let shine through every time he walked into a room. In his free time, he enjoyed being around others. Whether golfing, playing men’s league hockey, or a quiet hang out- Zach would be there if it meant spending time with his brothers, family, and friends. A voracious student of history, he enjoyed collecting and reading books on many subjects over many periods of European and American history. His faith guided him and after graduation from college and law school he became an active member of the Greek Orthodox church community.
He leaves behind both his parents, Steven and Pamela (Dion) Paskalis of Holden; his 3 brothers, Joseph Paskalis of Worcester, Evan Paskalis and his wife, Emily of Wakefield, Steven Paskalis, Jr. of Holden; a sister, Ashley Paskalis of Queens, NY; a maternal grandmother, Nancy Dion of Worcester; grandparents, Steven and Beverly of Jupiter, FL; a great uncle, Stewart Paskalis of Worcester; and his aunt, uncles, cousins and close friends. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Richard Dion.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Zach’s family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 27th, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am the following day, Wednesday, May 28th, at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester.
